The Mandalorian Season 2 trailer.

This is the way!

the-mandalorian-season-2-tn

The trailer for the hotly anticipated season 2 of The Mandalorian has dropped online from Disney.

Looks like a few new locations have been added, from season one’s Nevarro & Sorgan.

Also it looks like we might be heading to Tatooine again with a lingering shot of a Tusken on a Bantha watching the Razorcrest sweep bye!

Season 2 Razorcrest

The opening shot sees the battered Razorcrest orbit a somewhat stormy, desert planet heading to a more lush green / blue environment. Next Mando and the Asset are in a dim ghetto alley location, cut with what looks like Tatooine…Death Valley, California.

Season 2 Bantha

Next there is a snow planet and then quickly moves to what may be on Mon Cala, in a dock area where Din Djarin takes a boat trip!

Season 2 Boat trip

There is a speeder bike chase on a rocky planet, maybe Nevarro still?

We’ll just have to wait and see when the show starts streaming on the 30th October.

Galaxy’s Edge – added.

Well, 2020 has sucked!!

Very little has happened and we have all been on restricted travel, hope you are keeping safe!

I have just added a little detail to the *Filming Locations / Other locations section; with info for Galaxy’s Edge at both Parks in the US.

Galaxy’s Edge

I believe that the parks will be trying to get back to “normality” very soon.

The Rise Of Skywalker

Hello there!

This post has been a long time in coming….sorry.

I managed to get to see TROS 4x in my local cinema over the release period and Christmas 2019.

me cinema TROS

I will come straight out and say I liked it, I enjoyed it and it took me on an eventful and for me satisfying ride.

After 42 years of fandom (yes I was lucky enough to see Star Wars, as it was back then in the cinema late 1977). Three trilogies later, with its hits & misses; The Skywalker Saga ends. I liked The Force Awakens, a re-hash of ANH, I don’t get on with The Last Jedi, but that is for another time. There was a lot to pull together in this movie and still tell a story that was engaging for all audience members and I feel that J.J. Abrams did the best he could do in the time allowed.

Yes there was fan service and yes there may still be some question (I have) unanswered but we can’t have everything. *

The Rise of Skywalker left me with a happy, content feeling as I left the cinema and I have already pre-ordered on Blu-ray when released. I have bought the Original Soundtrack, the UK quad posters and a number of other pieces of merchandise (where are the figures HASBRO)?.

My fandom has taken a step back in recent years but I am not going anywhere; The Mandalorian & the Obi-Wan series will see to that.

Thank you Star Wars.

*Question 1 – Where did Maz get the lightsabre from in The Force Awakens??

Title card

Can this be tied into The Mandalorian, Kuiil, being an Ugnaught could have taken it unwittingly in a garbage dump from there when he left and was “looking after it” on Sagin. The Mandolrian in episodes to come could travel to Takodana for a job and take some of Kuiil’s belongings with him including the sabre…..

Ug

*Question 2 – Rey’s parentage; I think it would have been better if Rey was like Anakin, created in the Force by Palpatine for a future where he/she or they would one day take over as “the ultimate evil” Anakin or Darth Vader fell at the final hurdle on the second Death Star to save Luke and then Rey rises from nowhere again with abilities and powers that lead her to make choices for light or dark…….Perhaps Anakin & Rey were not the only offspring of Palpatine?

The Rise of Skywalker

Only 15 days to go until the last episode in the Skywalker sage is released – Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker here in the UK.

The anticipation is building, Disney are releasing more and more TV spots and the cast press tour is underway.

I for one am nervous at seeing the final instalment of a franchise I have followed for over 40 years, apart from family it has been the most constant thing in my life from when I was just 5 years old, seeing the film in London just after Christmas 1977; I have bought and been bought every manner of toy, vehicle, book and film; met with cast & crew at conventions and not least this built this website, where I have managed to visit many of the film location sites.

Star Wars has been in so many peoples lives and we have travelled along it’s ups & downs, as it has moved with generations so have we passed it on to generations of our own, to our sons or daughters or grandchildren. Star Wars was not for everyone, there are still some out there that have never seen one of the films but you cannot get away from the impact on popular culture throughout its time and there is not a corner of the globe that doesn’t know something about The Force or a Jedi.

A long time ago in a original colour

Will this make everyone happy, I doubt it, you can only please some of the people some of the time, we all have our own opinions on how it should end, I do have (some) faith in JJ Abrams and HOPE that he can bring balance to this force and make The Rise of Skywalker a fitting ending to a beloved saga that happened a long time ago….
